The Milligan Residence is a new construction 5128 sq.ft (including garage) single family residence on top of the Del Mar Mesa.  The new residence is a durable, healthy home with modern and clean architectural features and plenty of natural light to enjoy the beautiful San Diego sunshine.  The home possesses a “high performance envelope” air-sealed with 1” of Spray Foam and then insulated with recycled content fiberglass batts, all providing for greater thermal comfort and energy efficiency for heating & cooling.  The space conditioning, rarely required, is provided by a high efficiency Daikin mini-split system with ceiling cassettes for the indoor units. The rooftop is loaded with an expandable 9.3 kW solar PV system that offsets most electricity use in the home and also provides energy for charging the owners’ electric vehicle.
